Danubius Hotel Gellert

Standing on the Danube bank, Danubius Hotel Gellért is one of the most popular historic hotels in Budapest with its world-famous Gellért Bath and Spa. Its impressive art nouveau building, elegant interiors and premium category services provide its guests with a full recreation in Gellért Hotel.

The hotel is situated at the foot of the picturesque Gellért Hill, only a 10-minute walk from the shopping and business areas of the city centre, the nearest metro station and the Great Market Hall awaiting visitors to taste and buy the most traditional flavours of Hungary.

This prestigious hotel has excellent public transport possibilities with tram stops at the doorstep.  Just walk across the neighbouring Liberty Bridge and at once you will find yourself in bustling pedestrian shopping street, Váci utca with its lovely cafés and fashion shops.

Rooms

Hotel Gellert has 234 guestrooms featuring private bathroom, direct dial AT&T telephone, minibar, TV (with CNN and in-house movies), hair dryer and bathrobe. Rooms with connecting doors and extra large rooms are available.

Gellért Hotel offers six room types depending on which way the room faces and what sort of bathroom it has. The small single rooms with shower have a view on the inner courtyard or the bath. Double rooms facing courtyard are also available, these rooms can be booked for sole use, as well.

Refurbished double rooms have a view on the Danube; their equipment is completed by safe. These rooms can be reserved for 1 or 2 persons, extra beds are also available. Suites can accommodate maximum four persons (with extra beds added), they are ideal for families. Non-smoking rooms and rooms with wireless Internet access can be requested.

Services

The gorgeous Gellért Bath and Spa offers relaxation and recuperation for hotel guests who are welcome to use the swimming pool, thermal pool, sauna and steam bath free of charge.  Recreational amenities also include outdoor swimming pool with wave bath (closed in winter), outdoor thermal bath, jacuzzi, sun terrace and solarium but you can also benefit from various medical therapies here.

Danubius Hotel Gellért provides wireless and wired high-speed Internet access in public areas (surcharges apply), 24-hour reception, gift shop and guarded parking. Please note that guest parking is limited, and available on a limited first-come, first-served basis (surcharge).

The hotel serves a complimentary breakfast. During the day or in the evening Gellért Brasserie, Panorama Restaurant and Gellért Espresso are waiting for the gastronomy-seeking travellers.
