Schiffhotel Fortuna

Boat Hotel Fortuna Budapest is a 3-star hotel occupying a boat anchored on the Pest side of Budapest, next to Margaret Bridge and opposite the Margaret Island. Its location allows easy and fast access to the main tourist attractions and shopping areas.

The city centre and the Parliament are only a 20-minute stroll away from the boat hotel. If you wish to save time, you can also take one of the buses running near the hotel, taking you either to the centre, the business district, the nearest shopping mall or the Nyugati railway station in a couple of minutes.

In the picturesque Margaret Island -reachable in 15 minutes from the hotel- you will be able to enjoy a wide range of amusement and sports facilities, including a swimming pool and a jogging track that runs around the island.

Hotel Rooms

Boat Hotel Fortuna Budapest offers 56 rooms on both storeys of this boat hotel. The air-conditioned, cosy cabins are tastefully decorated; some of them provide magnificent views of the Margaret Island and the city. 3 suites (35 sqm), 4 superior (25 sqm) and 35 standard rooms (15 sqm) guarantee the perfect place for guest.  In the superior rooms and in the suites extra beds are available.

All rooms are equipped with central controlled air-conditioning, LCD TV (with satellite channels), minibar and telephone.  The so-called AA category rooms are located in the steerage of the boat, offering smaller rooms with taps and common bathroom facilities. Peaceful nights are guaranteed in the cosy cabins of Boat Hotel Fortuna.

Youth Hostel

One floor of the ship was especially made for the young travelers. There are 14 rooms there with common shower facilities. The ship has been a member of the Association of Hungarian Youth Hostels which means that the location meets the international standards and requirements from all aspects. These tourist category rooms (tween-deck) are quiet rooms with wash-basin. Available for 1, 2 or 3 people with separate bathrooms with showers on the corridor.
