Szekér Csárda - Budapest
The Szekér Csárda is situated on the Óbuda Hajógyári Island. The Csárda’s forefront represents in its architectural the Hungarian rural feeling of the year 1800, the application tools visualise the rural traditions. Its aim is to give a taste of the Hungarian traditional gastronomy and folk culture. The guests are welcome for dinner with guaranteed folklore program and groups ranging from 50 to 600 persons for lunch as well.
The Csárda’s groundspace has 840 squaremeters, it is air-conditioned, and dispose of a built-in stage, amplification and a cloakroom. The inner of the Csárda gives a very cosy feeling by the application of wood, cane, brick an with the everyday tools of the rural life.

The folklore program of the Csárda
The guests are welcome tradinionally with fruit brandy (pálinka) and home made salty cake (pogácsa) at the entrance of the Csárda. During the dinner you become a taste of the traditional folk dance show of Hungary by the performance of the Honvéd Dance Ensamble. In the repertoire there are all the dances of the characteristical land-dance. The guests will be delighted not only by the dance of the smiling girls and fine-looking boys, but also by the beautiful coloured folk costumes. The braver guests can also take part of the program with the help of our dancers elevating the real experience.
